Advocates, homeowners square off over beach access for fishermen (NJ)

Members of a beach access advocacy group are up in arms that fishermen are possibly being shut out of a beach in the affluent section of Long Branch where they had been allowed for years.  The spat over the Garfield Road entrance to the beach in Elberon arose earlier this summer when the homeowners’ association there put up a sign requiring anglers to show proof of their saltwater registration before they could head down to the jetty there to fish.   Read the article……………..
