Airbnb operator in limbo after Quebec announces regulation

For the last month, Michael has been taking part in what he thinks of as a democratic and technological revolution.  With his Airbnb listings for a Montreal condo, his family home a few kilometres away and a Mont-Tremblant condo, his manifesto is admittedly timid. The only established order he is upending is that of Quebec’s hotel operators; the only thing he is refusing is to pay a modest fee to obtain a hotel certificate and tax that goes to the provincial government to promote tourism.     Read the article…………..
