Another View: Unfair taxation taking toll on condo owners (PA)

It is estimated today that some 2.8 million Pennsylvanians are now living in over 10,000 condominium, cooperative and homeowner associations across the Commonwealth. These common interest ownership communities are on the rise, accounting for 80 percent of new home builds nationwide in the first decade of this century. They also account for major pockets of local real estate tax revenue and regional revitalization, in rural, suburban and urban settings. And data show the people who live in these community associations hail from all demographics as young professionals, working families and retirees alike seek the community, convenience, amenities and social connections that life often offers in such communities.    Read the opinion letter………….
