Board should rethink policy on garbage inspections

Q:  I live in a small self-managed condominium association that has a rule authorizing the board to inspect unit owners’ garbage when put in the dumpster to verify recycling is not discarded with the garbage. Is such an association rule enforceable and aren’t there privacy laws against this? I am now uncomfortable putting certain items in my garbage bag.     Read the Q&A…………….
