Brooklyn Condo Gets $1 Million Settlement from Shaya Boymelgreen

The 172-unit Newswalk luxury condominium in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, the site of a bitter, decade-long legal battle over shoddy construction, has reached a settlement worth $1 million with the project’s developer, Shaya Boymelgreen.  “It wasn’t what we hoped for, but it’s way more than we dreamed we would get,” says board president Judy Mann, noting that the original lawsuit, filed in 2007, sought $10 million in damages for construction defects in the converted building, a former Daily News printing plant near Barclays Center.     Read the article……………..
