Can board adopt budget without owners’ approval?

Q: The board of directors in my community is considering adopting a budget for next year that will increase our quarterly dues by more than 18 percent from last year. Someone told me that there is a state law that prohibits the board from doing this without approval from the owners. Is this true?   Read the Q&A……….
