Can Florida Condominium Board Members Vote By Proxy?

Question: I am on the board of directors of my homeowners’ association. I travel quite a bit so I am often out of town for our board meetings. The board is considering a special assessment at our upcoming meeting. I would like to vote because this special assessment is a very visible issue in our community. I have asked for a proxy so that I can cast my vote, but the property manager has told me that I am not authorized to vote by proxy. Is that true?    Read the Q&A…………….
