Man cooking turkey in charcoal pit accuses HOA board member of assault (FL)

A man who had dug a pit, filled it with charcoal and was cooking turkey next to the pool at a development in the 400 block of Ocean Trail said he was attacked by another resident. He claimed the man, who was a board member, said it was against association rules. The man said when he told the board member that when he finished the turkey he would fill the pit back in and replace the grass he was attacked by the board member and sustained cuts on his arms. The board member denied an assault took place and said he only stood in front of the pool gate to block the barbecue chef’s way. The victim told police that he would obtain witnesses to the attack and surveillance footage that he would submit.
