Community Association Life: Security responsibility is complicated issue

Q: Our homeowners association appears to be safe, with little to no criminal activity. We have become aware of robberies and break-ins in neighboring communities. We do not have a perimeter wall and there are some large holes in the landscape buffer for potential intruders. Does my HOA have any responsibility with respect to the perimeter security?  Read the Q&A………….
