Condo Smarts: Resolving short-term rental headaches

Dear Tony: We had several people in our building advertising on the “Vacation Rental by Owner” website, and routinely renting their units out on short-term one-, three- and five-day rentals. Since this has started, our building has experienced increased security problems, and an increase in noise complaints from the full-time occupants. Is a strata corporation permitted to adopt a bylaw that prohibits short-term rentals?
