Condominium Authority Confirms Fees

In a prior blog post we reported that the Condominium Authority of Ontario (“COA”) was seeking public comment on its proposed fees for the COA’s services. As the feedback received was positive, the COA has confirmed that the proposed fee amounts will be implemented.  A $1.00 per month per voting unit fee will be assessed against condominium corporations effective September 1, 2017. This fee will be ultimately charged to the unit owners by the condominium corporation. Unlike common expenses, the fee in respect of each unit is the same for all units, regardless of the unit size and the fee is not assessed against parking or storage units.   Read the article……………
