Courtenay condo fire kills man, dog

A 71-year-old man and his dog died as a result of a fire at his Courtenay condo unit late Saturday afternoon.  Twenty firefighters and five emergency vehicles responded to a 911 call to Puntledge Terrace, Courtenay Fire Chief Don Bardonnex said Monday. Heavy smoke was visible when they arrived. The man was given CPR at the scene, but did not survive, he said.     Read the article…………….
