New decisions on San Juan Island road maintenance lawsuit

A roughly three-year-old legal battle is one step closer to a resolution.  On Aug. 18, Judge Donald Eaton with San Juan County’s Superior Court issued recommendations of possible decisions on a portion of a lawsuit that was first filed in 2015 by Clare and Abigail Welker against the residents of their neighborhood. A final ruling will be made this fall.  The Welkers, who live off the road on San Juan Island, originally sued their neighbors to determine how to equitably pay to repave the shared, private easement.    Read the article……………
