SBA issues disaster declaration for Honolulu’s Marco Polo condo 2 months after fatal fire

The U.S. Small Business Administration has issued a disaster declaration for the Marco Polo Apartments, making low-interest federal loans available to residents two months after a fire killed four people and damaged or destroyed dozens of units at the Honolulu condominium.The SBA planned to open a disaster recovery center at the building Thursday morning, prior to a scheduled press conference with Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell.      Read the article………….
