Ever Wondered What All The Talk is About SLAPP Suits in HOAs?

SLAPP lawsuits are getting time in the news. What are they about? Name calling. Politics. Ugly stuff. There is no cause of action called SLAPP. What happens is someone calls someone else a name in heated debate over an election or some HOA or Condo Board action and the other sues them for defamation. Then the name caller gets an attorney who files an “ANTI-” SLAPP motion to strike down the lawsuit, saying they have a right to free speech.
