Florida Homeowners’ Association Act Defers to the Association’s Bylaws Regarding Elections
Question: Our homeowners’ association recently had its annual election for the board. We have five board members, and only four people filed papers to run. I came to the annual meeting and nominated my next door neighbor for the fifth seat. I was ruled out of order and told the four people who had volunteered could appoint the fifth director at a later time. This seems fishy to me. What do you think? Read the Q&A……..
