Ford’s Colony HOA (VA) Votes to Take Ownership of Ford’s Colony Drive

The Ford’s Colony Homeowner’s Association is attempting to take control of Ford’s Colony Drive, which is in need of repaving. Tom Brownlie, president of the Ford’s Colony HOA, said there was a legacy issue with Ford’s Colony Drive that made it different from other roads in the neighborhood: Realtec Inc., the developer, did not designate the road as common area, so it never transferred to the HOA. Instead, the road was designated as a reserved area, so Realtec continued to own the road but failed to maintain it.     Read more…….
