Granger residents still struggle with leaves (IN)

Fed up with leaf piles not being picked up by the contractor hired by St. Joseph County, a neighborhood association here took the matter into its own hands.  Rather than waiting for Greenworld Environmental Management to visit, the Quail Ridge Homeowners Association recently hired a South Bend landscaping company for about $4,500 to pick up leaves.  The effort is emblematic of a larger problem with uncollected leaves still lingering on the county’s northeast side. Unusually mild weather this month has allowed Niles-based Greenworld to pick up leaves in several Granger neighborhoods, but some still haven’t been visited.   Read the article……………
