Laguna Woods Village homeowners association bans short-term rentals (CA)

The United Mutual board unanimously approved revisions to the qualifiers for subleasing manors regarding short-term rentals, targeted at online, vacation-style rentals such as Airbnb, at its meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 8.  The revisions come after increases in illegal occupant violations in the Village, a Village Management Staff report stated. The new subleasing revisions include that rentals shorter than 90 days cannot be advertised in print or online media and any sublease must be between a 90-day and 12-month period.    Read the article………..
