Insurance May Not Be Enough For Some Marco Polo Condo Owners (HI)

For Vasana Chiu, the one-bedroom condominium with a lanai overlooking Waikiki Beach and the azure Pacific Ocean beyond, was her dream place. But the dream vanished last week when a fire destroyed her apartment on the 27th floor of the Marco Polo condominium.  Now Chiu must pay a mortgage on a condo that she can’t live in or rent out.
