Lakewood HOA board drops out of court fight against South Mountain Freeway (AZ)

The Lakewood Homeowners Association board has decided to withdraw as a plaintiff in the lawsuit aiming to stop construction of the South Mountain Freeway.  In an email to residents late last month, the board said that although a survey showed 70 percent of homeowners in the community oppose the freeway’s current path, “56 percent of the community does not want the HOA to actively fight the freeway anymore by contributing” to the group Protect Arizona’s Resources and Children.     Read the article……………
