Condo dwellers who want to sit on their building’s board will be required to be trained in the management and operation of their homes under new rules announced by the Ontario government Tuesday. ?The new policies are designed to better protect condo owners and communities, said Government and Consumer Services Minister Tracy MacCharles. Under the new rules, which start Sept. 1 and will be phased in over the next year, the Condominium Authority of Ontario will require condo corporations to issue mandatory updates to owners.
