Our board fired our super super without letting us know. Can they do that?

Q. Our new board of directors decided to save money, and replaced the management company and let our superintendent go, without advising the owners. The board has informed us they are not replacing the superintendent. Can the board do this? Don’t we require a superintendent on site according to condo law?
