Don’t call police over parking disputes, Chula Vista HOA tells residents (CA)

Eastern Chula Vista residents are calling 9-1-1 when neighbors park in front of their homes.  This happens so often that a homeowners association in the Montecito neighborhood sent a letter asking people to stop calling police and reminding them that they don’t own the parking spot in front of their house.  “The Chula Vista Police Department has informed the Master Developer that they are fielding dozens of calls every day from homeowners constantly reporting parking violations,” reads the letter. “The reality is the City of Chula Vista has limited parking enforcement officers for a population of 273,000. In most cases, when the officer investigates, the car that someone reports ‘abandoned’ actually belongs to their neighbor.”    Read the article………………
