Kelly Plantation battles non-native invasive species

There’s a green menace slowly but surely taking over Northwest Florida.  The Chinese Tallow tree, also known as the popcorn tree because of its ability to “pop” up anywhere and everywhere, is native to China and Japan. According to local environmental experts, the popcorn tree is on a vegetative vendetta here in Northwest Florida.  Kelly Plantation residents are leading the charge to remove the tree before it poses a more serious threat to the local environment.      Read the article…………….
