Privately owned Lake Vaquero (KS) drained for project to elevate, rehabilitate its dam

The lake’s homeowner’s association has contracted to have the dam rehabilitated and elevated to bring it into compliance with more stringent rules it faces after being reclassified a few years ago as a high-hazard dam, said Kim Hunninghake, dam safety leader for the water resources division of the Kansas Department of Agriculture.     Read more……..
