Online petition raises questions about Lake of the Ozarks residential rental properties (MO)

A petition against proposed legislation taxing residential rental properties in the Lake of the Ozarks area has raised some concerns for those who own properties there. KRCG 13 spoke to lawmakers Wednesday to clear up the issue.  The petition has been circulating online and the headline reads “Sign Petition to Oppose Legislation that will tank Lake Ozarks economy.” It states that the proposed legislation by several lawmakers would “rob those who own homes at the Lake of the Ozarks of basic property rights,” but State Representative Diane Franklin, R-Camdenton, said that just isn’t the case.     Read the article…………….
