Hurricanes force people to put up storm shutters, but state statutes don’t dictate when they should be taken down.  Some homeowners are part-time residents who leave shutters up for months.  Local governments can pass ordinances addressing the shutters, according to local county attorneys and fire marshals.     Read the article……………..
