Residents safe, few pets missing after Slidell condominium fire (LA)

Several families were left homeless Sunday morning after a fire broke out in a Slidell condominium complex.  Firefighters were called to the scene just before 1 a.m. on Sept. 6 after a fire started in the Act X(10) condominiums in the 4500 block of Pontchartrain Drive. According to officials with the St. Tammany Parish Fire District 1, the fire started in the apartment complex’s lone stairwell, trapping several people on the second story.     Read the article………..
