Short-term rental issue in Smithfield (PA) now in judge’s hands

Wolfe issued notices in October 2014 that Barbara and Larry Guarino violated the Smithfield zoning ordinance by conducting short-term vacation rentals in two single-family homes the Gaurino’s own in Shawnee Valley. But the zoning board ruled last fall that township zoning regulations don’t apply to Shawnee Valley, which was approved by the township as a planned residential development (PRD)  Read the article……..
