Strata councils are rewriting rules to keep the growth of short-term rental services such as Airbnb out of their condos and townhouses. Some are looking to aggressively enforce the filling out of a so-called Form K, which the provincial Strata Property Act says must be signed by anyone renting a unit or room in a unit after they agree to abide by the strata’s bylaws.
