The special taxing district that oversees Key Largo’s firefighting and ambulance services settled a lawsuit with the department that provided firefighters to the area until 2013.  The Key Largo Fire-Rescue and Emergency Medical Services District cut ties with the Key Largo Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department Inc. in the spring of 2013. The district formed a new fire company under the leadership of the Key Largo Ambulance Corps.   Read the article……….
