The Third District Court of Appeal in the State of Florida ruled in favor of The Alden Hotel Condominium Association against Federal National Mortgage Association on, April 2, 2014, following an appeal of a non-jury trial. According to court documents, Fannie Mae had taken title to one of the condominium units through bank foreclosure and refused to pay any past-due assessments asserting a position that FNMA was entitled safe harbor per Florida Statute 718.116.
