Condo column: Is a board-appointed committee the right way to delegate renovation work? (FL)

Q: We are preparing for a major renovation and the board has appointed a committee to make recommendations to the board. The committee is determined to be independent and is not communicating well with the board and we have discovered that the committee improperly ordered architectural drawings without the board’s approval.
