Condo Association has several options to combat squatters in abandoned unit (FL)

Question: I know of a condo development that has squatters. In this particular case, the couple that owned the condo died, and they did not have family to whom they could pass down the unit. In the tax records this unit is still listed as being owned by the deceased couple. Now, squatters have taken over the condo. I perceive this to be a dangerous situation for the other property owners. The association has been contacted, but they say there is nothing they can do.
