Durham man moves political sign inside after $100 a day fine threat (NC)

John O’Brien and his wife had three political signs in their front yard, but moved one of the signs inside their house after the property management company hired by the homeowners association threatened him with a fine.  “They sent us a letter threatening us with a hundred dollar a day fees if we didn’t take it down,” said O’Brien.  The sign doesn’t support a candidate, it doesn’t encourage anyone to vote for or against amendments, but it does make a political statement.      Read the article……………..
