After 20 years, HOA may have waived right to enforce architectural controls (FL)

My board president had a violation letter sent to me as retaliation for a question I asked at a board meeting. The violation letter is ordering me to remove my “recently planted landscaping” because I did not get ACC approval for it.  The “landscaping” was planted nearly 20 years ago!  I asked the Board president at that time, 2001, if ACC approval was needed to plant dwarf crown of thorn plants, and to replace dirty white rocks with red lava rocks.
