The legal struggle between Heron Cove Association and the Four Lakes Task Force will now go to the Michigan Supreme Court. Heron Cove Association, a coalition of property owners in the Four Lakes Special Assessment District, announced on Saturday through law firm Foster Swift that it filed an application for leave to appeal to the Michigan Supreme Court, challenging the legality of the special assessment levied by the Midland and Gladwin County boards of commissioners and the Four Lakes Task Force.
