Judge’s lake lawsuit ruling no surprise

Calling it a “Mexican standoff,” White Bear Lake’s city attorney said he was not surprised District Court Judge Margaret Marrinan denied summary judgment motions from both sides in the lake level lawsuit.   Motions from the plaintiff, the White Bear Lake Restoration Association, and intervenor White Bear Lake Homeowners Association, and the defendants, the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and its commissioner, and intervenor White Bear Township, were heard by Marrinan May 6. She had until Sept. 6 to issue a ruling but beat the deadline by a week.    Read more…………
