Gov. Josh Green touts it as a pivotal tool to tackle Hawai‘i’s housing crisis. Opponents say it doesn’t even address the real causes of the housing shortage.  No matter which side you’re on, it’s significant for the state’s short-term rental industry.  Green on Friday signed Senate Bill 2919 into law.
