Nearly 1,700 property owners living on Crystal and Mirror lakes or in the surrounding area are being threatened with legal action to force them to pay maintenance dues going back five years. The corporation that owns the lakes, Ramapo Mountain Lakes, Inc., has filed a class action suit in state Superior Court seeking to compel the approximately 1,645 property owners – which the corporation considers “members” – to pay up.
