To weed or not to weed. Is that the question? Perhaps it was for Shakespeare’s gardener. It is also the question when you have a strict homeowners’ association.   Our last house was on a couple of acres and the only plants that would grow in the pasture were salsify and mullein, which the HOA vehemently despised. I attended the HOA meeting and plead our case, which was basically stating the plants were helping to control soil erosion, as well as provide habitat for pollinators and other critters.
