Residents and HOA dispute over wetlands path in south Reno (NV)

Residents in a south Reno neighborhood love that they have a shopping center so close by; but the way they’re getting to it has the neighborhood association threatening federal fines.  The controversy surrounds the wetlands that are next to the residents near Damonte Ranch Parkway and Double R Boulevard. The area was preserved when the developer designed the neighborhood in the late 1990s. The Double Diamond Ranch Master Association is now responsible for the wetlands — but the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has jurisdiction over it.     Read the article………………………
