Sterling Hills owner wants to give the golf course to park district – with a catch (CA)

The owner of Sterling Hills Golf Club wants to give the course to the Pleasant Valley Parks and Recreation District — if the Camarillo City Council allows him to sell about 15 acres of it to a home developer, which would require rezoning.  Owner John Zaruka says his proposal would help Sterling Hills stay in business when many golf courses are struggling. But neighbors worry about declining property values and say Zaruka’s idea seems “suspicious,” considering what happened with a golf course he previously owned in La Verne.    Read the article………………………..
