Strata living: What to do when facing a special levy you can’t afford (BC)

Q: I’m a widowed senior who lives on a fixed income. After living in my apartment for about five years as a renter, I was able to buy the place three years ago.  I have some health issues that make it hard to move so I was thankful to become an owner. But now I’m faced with losing my place because I can’t afford the special levy that is being proposed. If I had known that such a big bill was coming, I would never have bought.   Read the Q&A……………………………….
