  • Boone Lake Association wins statewide conservation award (TN) March 7, 2025
    The Boone Lake Association (BLA) has received the Tennessee Association of Conservation Districts (TACD) conservation promotion award, the BLA announced in a release on Thursday. The BLA has been improving Northeast Tennessee’s water quality for 41 years and is the state’s oldest environmental group.   • Residents still reeling from Nashville condo fire (TN) February 4, 2025
    Fire ripped through a West Nashville condo complex less than a week ago. Neighbors are still trying to come to terms with the destruction. Smoke and flames could be seen for blocks, the Nashville Fire Department said. “The smoke was so thick that you could cut it with a knife,” resident Jeannette Myers told News 2. “You could cut it with a knife.”    Read the article…………………………….
