11th Circ. Frees Travelers From ‘Bad Faith’ Settlement

The Eleventh Circuit on Thursday affirmed a lower court’s ruling that Travelers Casualty and Surety Co. of America does not have to honor a settlement agreement between an insured Florida homeowners’ association and a homeowner, ruling the trial judge properly determined the deal was negotiated in bad faith.
