Michelle Bernard remembers the challenges she faced when she bought her home in Channing Cove, a subdivision of about 40 homes in Conyers, Georgia. “When I came searching in this subdivision, I was advised that I could not afford this subdivision by the realtor, who did not know about my financial background or anything,” Bernard said.
