Maryland Court of Appeals Bars Confessed Judgment Clauses in Consumer Contracts

A recent decision from the Maryland Court of Appeals provided somewhat surprising new guidance on the permissibility of confessed judgment clauses in consumer contracts. In Goshen Run Homeowners Association, Inc. v.
