Climate change is a real threat to our future, one that demands collective, forceful action by all New Yorkers in every aspect of their daily lives. The City Council is considering legislation that seeks to meet citywide goals solely by imposing rigid caps on greenhouse gas emissions from most buildings over 25,000 square feet.
